Expertise based on over 25 years of experience
The law firm Forensis, previously called Casanova & Associés, was established in 1980.
Forensis has developed extensive expertise in advisory and litigation services relating to business law for French and foreign clients, including large groups and small and medium-sized enterprises, in particular in the supermarket distribution, industrial, food and financial sectors.
Its areas of expertise are competition law, distribution law, consumer law, intellectual property law, contract law, commercial law, corporate law, tax law, international commercial law, banking and finance law, property law and transportation and automobile law.
It strives to offer quality services adapted to the specific needs of its clients, regardless of whether they are companies or corporate directors, faced with complex legal issues.
Forensis has also developed close relations with lawyers specialised in bankruptcy and insolvency law and labor law, which enables it to better meet its clients’ needs.
International dimension structured and adapted to meet clients’ needs
Forensis is supported internationally by the expertise of reputed American law firms, such as Pavia & Harcourt LLP, with which it has worked since 1983, as well as a network of corresponding law firms in Europe, mainly in the United Kingdom, the Benelux countries, Italy, Switzerland and Germany.
Personalised client service based on the Partners’ dedicated availability and involvement
Forensis is currently comprised of around fifteen persons, including five partners: Christian Chemin, Chantal Menard-Dauvergne, Bruno Martin, Emmanuel Dubois and Grégoire Marchac.
They are receptive and in touch with their clients. They always endeavour to include economic aspects in their legal solutions and to adopt a highly involved approach in assisting legal directors and company managers.
They accordingly deliver high added-value personalised services, which demonstrate the firm’s approach. We are proud to be a human-scaled law firm, which focuses on the quality of the services provided to our clients and cost transparency.
Reliability complying with the professional code of conduct
In addition to our professional expertise, compliance with the professional code of ethics is one of the linchpins of the lawyer-client relationship.
The professional code of conduct applying to lawyers also meets the expectations of companies, which are incorporating codes of conduct as a new rule for corporate governance, in particular by introducing codes of best practice and by developing the role of compliance and the new position as Compliance Officer in sectors other than banking and finance.
